Originated at the famous Hotel Monteleone in New Orleans in 1930, it is named after the French term “old square” which refers to the French Quarter.

Sazerac – 14

Bulleit 95 Rye Whiskey, sugar, Peychaud’s bitters, absinthe rinse.

The Sazerac was born in the mid-1850s, when New Orleans barmen used cognac and New Orleans’ own Peychaud’s Bitters to make the classic Old Fashioned Cocktail. Here, we make the whiskey incarnation, which showed up at bars around the city in the 1880s.
